Sharptop Cove was a fantastic weekend! Young Life is a wonderful ministry and they really do know how to show Christ's love to high school students. Their camps are done so well and they do all they can to make those kid's introduction to the gospel a very special and memorable one. They make sure that every aspect of camp is high quality so that the kids will see that something is really different about how this camp is run and in turn may ask themselves WHY is this camp different? It is different because each and every person who is involved in making camp great LOVES the Lord and wants the campers to see Christ in every thing they do!
Clay was asked by the Gainesville Area Director to help put on "program" for this past weekends camp. "Program" is basically a skit that will be put on throughout the whole weekend at camp that will be done every time the campers get together to eat. Drew (the area director and friend), Tim Putnam (friend from college) and Clay made up the program as well as all the games and other skits that were put on. They did a LOT of work to get this done and it turned out to be wonderful. They were so funny and you could tell the kids enjoyed it.
Since Clay was SUPER busy the whole time, I had many many people that helped me out with the babies. Allison (Drew's wife) was my permanent assistant and then every one else helped where they could. It was so nice to have babies at camp. They did great and every one loved them :) They just went every where we did, even to club that lasted until midnight! (club is where the kids gather for singing, games, skits, and a brief sermon) It was so so so loud in there but the boys were all about it! I did decide to take them to bed at around midnight because I was scared they would forget what night time is and that would be BAD NEWS.
AND NOW for pictures from the weekend...
First, some pictures of my helpers...

Took a lot of work to get the stroller up those hills, but
Allison did say she wanted the whole experience.

Double duty!

The "real life" part of taking care of babies
that I spoke about last post.
Jessica Allen is a pro. She takes care of babies
professionally. She was the nurse for camp and she
happens to be a NICU nurse... score for me!
Second, the boys at work...

Tim was a nerd. In this particular part of the skit,
he was trying to be Twilight's Team Edward.

The kids up and cheering for the skit.

Lastly, other pics from the weekend...
Miller in the morning! So sweet. The boys slept
together in the Pack and Play for the first time.
Cool dad.

At club.

So that was our weekend. It was packed and tiring but we did it and it was good! Also, we didn't scare Allison too much with letting her experience "real life" with the babies. I think we actually did the opposite! All right. Got to go eat...
