Christmas Morning

Christmas morning was always so fun as a child, but I LOVE it as a parent. A time to give your children presents just because. Not because they are good (because they wouldn't get any if that were the case... none of us would), not because they deserve it, but just because we LOVE them. It is the perfect picture of what Jesus' birth was, a gift undeserved because our Father LOVES us! They are on only 4, 2 and 6 months old this year, so this idea is still hard for them to understand (and hard for me to comprehend too) but I can't wait to remind them of this love given to us every year! Merry Christmas, He is born...

Kimsey Christmas 2014

Every year Lisa and Jimmy go over and above to make Christmas special for all the grand babies (and big babies). This year was no exception to the rule. Each and every gift was picked out with love and we feel extremely blessed by it all. And with 12 grandchildren under the age of 8, "gift giving" time can be chaotic, but I love it! Here are some pics from our day...

Merry Christmas (and a Happy New Year!!)

To say this was a WILD year would be an understatement! Jet setting to the west coast, to finding out we had another little baby we didn't even know about, 2014 has been a year of great surprises and once in a lifetime opportunities. The Lord knew every step we took before we took it and I am so thankful He has it all in control! His ways are above ours and I am so thankful for that! Merry Christmas (a little late) and Happy New Year!!!

Christmas On Green Street

This past Sunday we got int the Christmas spirit by going to watch the Christmas on Green Street parade. We have loved living in the city this past year and and since this is our second time to walk to the parade, I guess it is now becoming a new annual tradition. The boys really loved it this year because they remembered it from last year and so that made it extra special. They were so excited to see all the old "race" cars, Santa Claus, and especially the Grinch!

Here are just a few pictures from the parade...
