Before and After...

Well I never got to put up the 36 week picture, so since I have ONE minute to post I will do that... so here is the 36 week picture (Delivery Day) and one week after.

Man, it is crazy to me to look at pictures of my belly that full! I guess when you are pregnant you don't fully realize how big it was because you slowly got bigger and bigger over a lengthy amount of time. Now looking at it, it is hard for me to grasp!

Okay, off to another feeding!

Let the pictures do the talking...

These are some very special pictures that give a great look into our boys' birthday. Thank you to my sister Jennifer who documented the day for us. She'll take great pictures of you too (for a small fee.... www.jenniferkempphotography.com)

They are here...

Our boys arrived last night. Miller at 10:52 pm, weighing in at 5 lbs. 11 oz. and 19.5" in length. Charlie joined us at 11:33 pm, weighing the same as his brother and just a half inch shorter.

They are absolutely perfect!

Mandy and I will collaborate on a bigger post about the birth and include some pictures soon, but I wanted to get on here and say a couple of things quickly...

First of all... My wife is an absolute champion! Birthing twins has to be one of the most difficult things in the world. Getting one baby out is a difficult task for most women, but my wife was able to do it twice in about an hour and a half! She is special (always has been), and I love and respect her more than anyone in this world for what she accomplished yesterday.

Secondly, I can not tell you guys how amazed I am right now by the love of our great God! He is immeasurably good and gracious. The path that lead us to what occurred yesterday is so unlikely, yet it is marked with countless displays of His faithfulness to us. It feels amazing to look at my boys and just remember the struggle and all the many ways that he drew us to Himself time after time... We have been abundantly loved and cared for through this entire experience, and I can honestly say that even if the outcome wasn't as great as it actually is, we would still be in awe of God's desire for us to trust him... and we would not hesitate to continue doing it. With that said... Praise Him for giving us so much more! Our sons are an incredible gift.

35 weeks!!!

I made it another week... Yesterday was 35 weeks! Now we just want them to come. To be honest this pregnancy has been pretty easy but I am starting to really have a hard time getting around and would love to have them now. Also, my stomach has reached its maximum stretching capacity and has started to split my skin (sorry if that is too much info) a little. I am blessed that it hasn't done this until now but I have to say that it has gotten me a little discouraged. I have had to pray a lot and just ask the Lord to forgive me for getting upset about something that is so superficial. He has been so good to me and I am so blessed and I am glad He is such a forgiving Father. With that said, I can't wait for them to be here. I am off bed rest totally and they have told us that the babes can come anytime! HOPEFULLY that is soon. Well Clay and I are off to his parents for a Labor Day dinner and I will leave you with the 35 week pic...

P.S. I was really wishing I would go into labor on Labor Day... there are still a few hours left...

34 weeks!

We made it to the mark... 34 weeks! This whole time the doctors had said that they just wanted me to get to 34 weeks and anything after 34 weeks was just icing on the cake! Well, we made it! They took me off of "real" bed rest and just are telling me to take it real easy until the 35 week mark. They said at 35 weeks I can do whatever I would like. It makes me feel like we are so close but then I get another feeling that these babies are not going to want to come out when I want. I am hoping that they will come at or right around 35 weeks. I am just not sure though if that is what they are going to want...

Here is my 34 week picture. Maybe, just maybe, I wont ever post another week again...

Sweet Little Baby

When you are pregnant with a baby (or babies), you wonder all of the time what they must look like? Will they look like me? Will they look like Clay? Will they look like our siblings, or parents, or uncles or aunts? But of course, we won't know until they come.

Then the day they come, everyone has their opinion of who the baby looks like... You will hear... "Oh he looks just like ____ as a baby!" Or... " No, no, no he looks just like ____ when he was was born." Well to avoid any confusion in the future, I wanted to share a few of Clay's baby pictures. This way, when the boys come out, even people who didn't know Clay as a young babe will be able to tell if they look like him. I have one from in the hospital and two others that are of him a little older.

I couldn't believe this was Clay as a newborn. Nothing like
what I pictured he would look like. I would love for my boys
to come out with so much hair!

So now you can be the judge when the babies come...

33 weeks!

Since we are getting so close to the finish line, I decided that I would post weekly belly pictures because we might not make it if we go biweekly. So here is week 33 in all her glory...

And I don't know if I mentioned this, but I am on bed rest now :( They want to get me to 34 weeks and since I was showing signs of pre term labor (contractions, dilating just a tad, and a positive pre term labor test) they decided to make me be on bed rest. I am actually very fortunate I have made it this long with out having to go on it AND I won't be on it long so I am thankful for that.

We are pretty much ready for these babies to get here now. This past week we put the cars seats in the cars and washed all of their newborn clothes...

(Thank you Walt Farrell for the head light you gave Clay. He was
able to get all his work done so much better since he had that.)

NOW, we just wait. We talk about when we think they will come a lot and I am nervous they may be stubborn and decide not to come out when I want them to. We will see...

P.S. I want to say that I do not really re read my posts and when I go back I see tons of grammatical errors... Sorry.
