The Big Reveal

Okay, so maybe it isn't that BIG of a reveal, but I have been looking forward to the day when I could say that we have the baby room done. And now here it is! I always said the babies could come whenever I got the room done (but I now realize I want them to stay in just a little bit longer).

SO HERE ARE THE PICS!

Clay's sister Jaime help me make the boards above the babies beds.
They are canvases covered with yellow seersucker fabric then we use white pique
fabric for the appliqued initial.

This is the covered canvas up close.

Another angle. We definitely need some more things to go on
their shelves.

And now the other side of the room.

Here is one of the prints that is above the changing table. Clay insisted
that we have something Clemson in the room. Well I knew orange and purple weren't
quite going to go with the rest of the decor, so my WONDERFUL husband
found vintage Clemson football programs from the 1950's. We got them printed
and we think they look great! Go Tigers!

This is Rocky (my mom and I named him after driving back from Charleston
to Gainesville with him). I LOVE him. I always talk to him when I am in the
babies room to get his opinion on things. He was a great find at a thrift store.

And this is just looking from the other side of the room.

And lastly, this is hung on the wall of Clay's nursery when he
was a babe. It just says everything important about Clay's birthday: how much
weighed, how long he was, where he was born, ect.

In maybe a few short weeks they will be in this room!!!

32 weeks!

We are 32 weeks and getting closer to when we will see our boys! Both Clay and I feel like we may see them sooner than we thought we would after what happened yesterday...

At 32 weeks, they wanted me to start getting non stress tests (basically they hook you up to a machine and monitor your contractions) so yesterday was my first one, and low and behold, I was having contractions every 1 to 3 minutes. They then checked me out and I was one cm dilated and 70% effaced. They sent me right to the hospital where I was in Labor and Delivery for the next 7 hours to get my contractions under control. I am on bed rest until tomorrows appointment where they will recheck me and hopefully I will be able to go back to normal activity. I will keep you updated.

Here is my 32 week picture. It is a rough one because I had been in the hospital all day and just needed to come home and take a shower. No hair and make-up here!

Next post... the nursery!

30 weeks!

Can you believe our babies will be here in the next 4 to 6 weeks (hopefully not any sooner)!?! We are just so excited to meet these little buddies! We had a baby shower BBQ that Clay's mom and sisters threw for Clay and me and our friends and it was so wonderful. We had a great turn out and it was so nice to see all of our friends from college. Everyone was so generous and we just about have everything we need for these boys. Their room is almost done and then I will be ready to have them in there! Well I need to run to a doctors appointment, but here is my 30 week pic!

Whoa... and it continues to grow!

28 weeks!

Apparently the 28 week mark for a twin pregnancy is an important one. It would definitely not be good if I had the boys at this point in my pregnancy, but if they did decide to make their entrance into this world, they could do really well (or at least that is what they say). Either way, we DO NOT want them coming now. We want these little guys to stay in as long as possible. Wait, did I say little?! They have actually gotten quite big at close to 3 pounds each and 15 inches long! So hard to believe! I also have only 8 weeks until I am considered full term! SO we are going to see these sweet babies in 2 months (or less).

Alright, here is week 28 picture...

Wedding in Nashville

This past weekend we had a great time attending the wedding of Greg and Emily Fenske! I was so glad I was able to make it. It was a great time to see friends and I was so thrilled to be able to see Greg marry such a wonderful girl.

It was also the first time most of our college friends had seen me pregnant and so the reactions were great. Everyone was very sweet and it made me feel better about how big I have gotten :) So here are some pictures from the weekend!

Hope you enjoyed the pictures... now heading into week 28 of this pregnancy!

26 Weeks!

So here is the 26 week photo update....

... did I mention my back is killing me!!!

Week in St. Simons and Charleston for the 4th!

We just got back from a great family vacation with the Kimsey's in St. Simons! It is something the Kimsey's have done every year since Clay was a babe and now I have been a part of the trip for the last 6 years. It is so fun to get to go just relax and enjoy each other and I have really come to look forward to it. I am sad it is gone, but it is so neat to think we will have our two little buddies with us next time we go!

I am going to post some pictures from the St. Simons trip, as well as some from our quick visit to Charleston for the 4th! We had the best time getting to spend time with my family at my Aunt and Uncles beach house and what made it even more special was that Amy, Chris, and NOAH were there. They just moved back from Tampa for good and Clay and I were so excited to be able to spend a little time with our precious nephew!

St. Simons...

and Charleston!

Since we were out of town and got home late last night, I have yet to take my 26 week photo so I will do that today and get that posted!
