Snow Day, Four Months, First Foods... The List Goes On

Yes, a lot has happened since I last wrote. As everyone knows, there was a lot of snow that fell last week! I thought it was great because Clay was able to stay home for a couple of days and enjoy the snow with us. Also our friend Allison got to come hang out because her husband was out of town and she didn't have to work. It was a nice break from the usual routine. Here are some pics...

The boys also turned 4 months old on the 13th! They are so old! Miller is weighing in at 13.8lbs and Charlie at 14.8lbs (Charlie is our better eater). The doctor visit was good but the doctor said that Miller had to go on breathing treatments because he never kicked his cold. So we are pretty busy again with medicines and treatments... Boo!

Another exciting thing that has happened is the boys got to try food for the first time. I will try to post a video later of their first experience with it. They HATED it. They screamed and cried like we were giving them poison. BUT we gave it another try and they have really taken to it. The doctor said that at this stage, food is kinda like dessert. They don't have to have it but if after their bottles they want to eat it, then we can do it. They have had carrots, bananas, apples, and sweet potatoes so far. Here are some pics... Lastly, Clay had a little photo shoot with the boys when he realized that the Braves shirts that they were given now fit! Here are a few of those...

Hopefully that caught everyone up on what we have been doing recently. We have been busy but we have been having fun! The boys have been great babies and ever since their eating has improved, they pretty much are perfect (as perfect as twin babes can be!).

This weekend we are heading off to Sharp Top Cove (a Young Life camp) because Clay is helping out Drew McClesky with program. I am excited and I think we will have a lot of fun with the boys there. Allison (Drew's wife) has offered to help me with the babies! I am not sure she knows what she is getting into but she has promised me that she is excited about the challenge. She is always telling me that she likes seeing "real life" when she comes and hangs out and I am POSITIVE she will see a lot of "real life" this weekend :) You know, like crying and pooping and spitting up everywhere and the list goes on... I will let yall know how the weekend is soon!

Christmas in Charleston

Our trip down to Charleston was great! The boys did not make a peep the WHOLE way down! We stopped once to feed them and had to wake them up to do so. They are great travelers and I am enjoying it while it last because I know once they are old enough to know that they can move, they are going to want to get out of those seats.

We first stopped at my Aunt Brenda's to see everyone. We gave Noah his favorite present he received all of Christmas (well we think it was his favorite)... His first Power Wheel...

Charlie and Miller's First Christmas!

There are SO many pictures of the boys from Christmas that it is hard to choose just a few to put on here. I would love to put up more but for some reason my computer will only let me upload a few at a time so it makes the task of putting up a lot of pictures VERY tedious.

Since we were going to be in Gainesville for Christmas Eve/Day, we were able to go to Clay's Aunt Kathy's for her Christmas Eve Party. Then we went to Jimmy and Lisa's to spend the night and have Christmas morning there.

Clay's High School Christmas Party

I feel I have some catching up to do since I a lot went on that I never blogged about...

BUT I really really doubt I will be able to fully catch up on all those events because, I mean, I have twin babies, and what Mom with twin babies has time to sit around and blog about everything that goes on? So what I am thinking I will do is just post mostly pictures from over the holidays, that way you all get to see the babes and you won't have to do a lot of boring reading!

Every year Clay's high school class gets together for an annual Christmas party. I think they have had it every year since they graduated so this was the annual 8th annual Christmas party (I think). It was a late night out for us and so who kept the boys you may be wondering? We did! We brought them along. They had a good ole time hanging with the crew until about midnight when we got home. EXHAUSTING! But they were good little boys so I cannot complain. Plus, Clay really loved getting to show off his new additions to all of his friends.

We Are Still Here

Sorry I have not posted in about a week or so... Of course we had our first Christmas with the boys so we have had a lot going on. We spent Christmas eve and morning with the Kimsey's and then traveled down to Charleston, where the boys and I stayed until New Year's Eve (Clay had to go back early to work).

The plan was to have my mom drive me and the boys to meet Clay half way and then we were going to Boone, NC to spend NYE with all of our friends. We were looking forward to seeing every one and excited about the time we were going to have...

PLANS CHANGE WHEN YOU HAVE BABIES...

LONG story short, we turned around the car on the way to Boone because we knew that the babes needed to see the doctor. We went to a clinic 8:30 pm NYE night and found out that Charlie had an ear infection, Miller had conjunctivitis as well as signs of early pneumonia that were confirmed by chest x ray, and of course both had bad colds. We left the clinic around 10 that night, picked up the prescriptions, medicated the babes and got in bed just in enough time to see the clock turn to the New Year! What a night...

So, I feel like I run a mini pharmacy right now. Amoxicillin twice a day, ear drops every 3 hours, eye ointment three times a day, Prilosec twice a day, and Tylenol every 4 hours when they had fevers!!! A lot to keep up with...

With all that said, I am not ready to take the time to put up Christmas pictures because I really do not have the energy, but I will put up their Santa picture (a little late I know) so there will be at least one picture this post.

I also want to say real quickly what an AMAZING year 2010 was and how thankful we are that the Lord has been so so so so so good to us. We do NOT deserve His love and grace. We fail Him yet He is still faithful to us. Everything we have been given is His and it is our personal goal in 2011 to bring Him glory in what we do and say, to trust Him in all situations, and be good stewards of everything we have been given! (Keep us accountable...)
