Opening Day

This is the second year the boys have played baseball for the city (last year t-ball... now we moved up to the major leagues, aka coach pitch) and they love it. Gainesville is a not too small of a town, but it feels like one on days like Opening Day. It is as if the whole city comes out to cheer on these little guys as they start their season. Here are a few pictures from the morning ceremonies...

First Daddy Daughter Dance

Because Christmas fell on a Sunday, Clay needed to work on Monday so we didn't head down to Charleston ON Christmas day like we usually do. We took it easy, soaking up the kids Christmas morning, getting to do breakfast with Clay's parents and sisters family, and then getting to serve lunch to those who are less fortunate at the homeless shelter. Then the rest of the day we spent at the house preparing for our taco feast we had Christmas night. God is too good. We (I) must not squander His goodness but treasure it and give Him all the glory. Lord help me to be a good steward of these sweet blessings...
