Cow Appreciation Day

... also known as... Free Lunch Day where Mom doesn't have to clean up the mess! Yep. I would rather spend time making my boys look like cows then have to fix them lunch at home and clean up the after-math.

Chick-fil-a is really SO kid friendly and so taking the boys there is something that I can do by myself. However, today I talked my sister-in-law into dressing up her kids as cows too, and we all headed to get our free meal for looking like cows!

Here are some pics... it was a rocky start but they started to enjoy it once their cousins were okay with it!

 Lost his tail...

 Lost a spot...

 Lost an ear...

Everyone was excited because the cow was coming around to say hi...

Noah WAS NOT excited about the cow coming by...

We had a fun time and will be back next year!

Visit to Boone: Part 3

Boone has lots of great places to go as a family. This park was so nice. It had a HUGE grassy field, play set, a little village, and a river that ran right beside it. We had fun eating, playing and enjoying the river. Afterwards we headed to the country store to get the boys a treat... rock candy! Yes, it was a mess but they liked it!

Here are some pics...

Charlie... what a rascal.

(Doesn't this look like a mirror image? Weird. It is just them
standing on opposite sides of the window opening.)
Miller was saying something so it is a funny little
smile he is giving me.
Sweet friends.

Blowing bubbles.

Ruby... what a babe.

Sunday morning we left and had a leisurely ride home. We went from Boone, to Asheville, to Brevard (where we went to Sliding Rock), through Highlands then home...

This is a picture of Clay chasing the boys on the trail back from Sliding Rock!
