We have been MIA for the last month because... WE FINALLY SOLD OUR HOUSE... and MOVED!! It was a drawn out process that I would not want to do again, but, like many other events in my life, the Lord taught me patience and about His faithfulness. He is good and wants us to GROW so He allows us to be uncomfortable to better us and to draw us to HIM! Through that process we see our COMPLETE and utter need for Him and thus, HE IS GLORIFIED! So to God be the Glory!!
Since life is hectic, we decided to get the "tree" process out of the way. We headed to Home Depot after to church to "get it done"! Usually I make Clay pick up about a million trees before deciding on the perfect one. Not this year... the guy told us that they had all been picked over and that everything left wasn't that good. He said they would be getting a new shipment in tomorrow and that we should come back. NOPE. I wasn't doing that. We were going to "get it done" today! Big Mistake. The tree is up now and is not pretty. Big time bummer. Oh well, should have remembered my lesson on patience.
To our surprise, when we were there, SANTA happened to be there too! I was happy because we could cross another thing off our list. I asked the boys if they wanted to see him and they said YES! They were so excited. I was in shock since the years before didn't go so good. Well, you will see from the pictures that they were oh so excited and running with joy to see him and then the reality of the situation hit them like a ton of bricks when Santa put out his arms. Sheer terror! Ha. All they kept saying was how scary he was. So, we gave Piper a chance. She pretty much loves everyone. Nope, she was not having it either. So here are some pics from our adventure. And don't worry, we went back and let Daddy tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas, as they watched from about 25 feet away... So glad he knows what they want now!
