This past weekend we planned to head to Boone, NC to visit our friends Tim and Meg and their 4 and 1/2 month old baby Ruby. We were so excited to go spend the weekend with them and started our trip to see them on Thursday night after Clay got off work. A couple hours into our trip, Charlie didn't seem himself. We pulled over and took his temperature and it was 101.6... We were sad for him and honestly, we were sad for us. We had looked forward to this weekend for a while and really wanted to still go. We talked to Tim and Meg and they still wanted us to come so we decided to pull over and get a hotel and then make our final decision in the morning. It was around 10:30 when we found a hotel and got settled in. Man, you wouldn't have known this little boy was sick. We medicated him and as soon as they saw the bed in the hotel room they were the happiest kids you ever did see...

Charlie did end up waking up in the middle of the night with fever so we just continued to stay the course with tylenol/ibuprofen and when he woke up he seemed good. We went to Cracker Barrel and after decided he would be good as long as he had medicine to take down his fever. We arrived at Meg and Tim's around 2:30. The boys went and played golf and we hung out with babes and went walking. We cooked out Friday night and woke up early Saturday morning to go hiking.
